The first decade does the heaviest lifting. A rupee invested at 25 gets 35 years to compound. The same rupee at 50 gets 10. Same note, very different job.

You cannot backfill the years. The late saver put in 2.5 times the money and still lost. More rupees later do not buy back time already gone.

Start small, but start now. The amount is the part you can fix later. The start date is the part you cannot. A tiny SIP today beats a big one once-I-can-afford-it.
