NSE treats this fee as real enough to gate the index on it. A stock needs an average impact cost of 0.50 pct or less on a Rs 10 cr order to even qualify for the Nifty 50. Your contract note still will not print it. And it climbs with size. A bid only holds so many shares, the rest of your order walks up the book.
