A midcap is a drawdown you survive, not a return you earn.
01
The CAGR is the reward for the 322 days, not for the number. You do not get 41.21 for being right about mid caps. You get it for still being there when the hole fills.
02
The ride is nearly twice the index. A 25.44 swing against the Nifty 14.04. Size it for the hole, not the headline, this sleeve belongs as a satellite you can sit through, not the whole book.
03
Ask how long you can stay wrong before you ask what it returns. Put 322 days on a calendar. If you would have sold in February, the 41 was never yours to collect.
The card leads with 41.21 because that is the half that sells. The half that decides whether you keep it is the 322 days, and that number is printed nowhere on the front.
