## Where it is

ScreenPortfolio, More optionsBasic

More options on a portfolio, then Combine portfolios. It shows only when you have another portfolio on the same strategy and the same mode (Live or Practice), and both are Up to date.

Index in this video: [Energy Basket](/strategies/energy-basket) (strategy page).

## What it means

The sheet asks you to tick the portfolios to roll into this one: "Their holdings and cash move into this portfolio, and the selected ones are then archived." A confirmation lists what moves and says "No broker orders are placed, this is a bookkeeping merge." The Ledger of each portfolio records the move (Combined), and the merged ones go to the Archived tab, read only.

## The formula

The merged portfolio holds the sum of the shares and cash. Each share keeps its average buy price.

As computed in the RupeeCase app`Allowed: same strategy, same mode, every one Up to date, linked to a strategy
Moves: holdings at average cost + cash, booked out of each and into this one
After: the others are archived (read only); Ledger rows read Combined`

## Worked example

Example only

* Energy Basket Rs 80,000 and Energy Basket Two Rs 40,000
* Combine: Energy Basket holds both books, about Rs 1,20,000
* Energy Basket Two moves to Archived

## How to read it

* A portfolio missing from the list is on another strategy, another mode, or busy.
* Invested on the merged card adds the money moved in.
* The archived portfolio keeps its history, read only.

## Watch out

* The app does not check that two Live portfolios use the same broker; combine only portfolios at one broker.
* Live and Practice portfolios cannot be combined.
* A portfolio funded with margin (MTF) must be reconciled before it can be combined.
