## Where it is

ScreenDashboardBasic

The summary card at the top of the Dashboard, for the tab you are on (All, Live or Practice). Reorder the figures in Customise. Basic and Advanced.

The app lists every RupeeCase index; each has its own page. [See all 18 in one table](/strategies/#sxTable).

## What it means

Current value is your holdings at the latest prices plus cash, less estimated costs. Invested is the money you put in minus what you took out. Profit or loss is current value minus invested, and Return is that as a share of invested. Today compares now with the previous close. Next rebalance is the earliest date any portfolio shown is due.

## The formula

Invested is net of withdrawals, and Return divides profit or loss by it. Return is not per year and not time weighted.

As computed in the RupeeCase app`Current value = holdings x latest price + cash - estimated costs
Invested = money added - money taken out
Profit or loss = current value - invested
Return = profit or loss / invested
Today = value now / value at the previous close - 1`

## Worked example

Example only

* Added Rs 3,00,000, took out Rs 50,000: invested Rs 2,50,000
* Current value Rs 2,75,000: profit Rs 25,000
* Return: 25,000 / 2,50,000 = +10%

## How to read it

* The NIFTY 50 figure under profit and return is the same money in the index, on your dates.
* Return is not per year: +10% in 3 months and in 3 years read the same.
* The tab decides what is summed: All, Live or Practice.

## Watch out

* A withdrawal lowers Invested, so Return is on the money still in.
* Return ignores when the money went in; the money weighted figure is in Advanced on a portfolio.
* Today needs live prices: it can lag outside market hours.
