## Where it is

ScreenMarketplace and Strategy (Returns tab)Basic

Net return on each card, Cost per year in the key figures and the Charges card in the Returns tab. All three always show in Basic.

## What it means

Every model figure in the app is after estimated charges. Net return is the model's total return over its full history after those charges. The Charges card shows the return before and after charges and the gap in points of a 100 start. Cost per year is the server's yearly estimate, and opens a breakup by kind of charge when one is shown.

## The formula

Net return is the model's final value, after charges, less its start of 100. The Charges card gap is the before figure less the after figure.

As computed in the RupeeCase app`Net return = model value at the end, after charges, with the start set to 100, minus 100 (full history)
Charges (points) = return before charges - return after charges, full history
Cost per year = the estimated yearly charges, to 2 decimals; n/a under half a year; where a figure is served it opens a breakup by kind of charge`

## Worked example

Example only

* Before charges the model goes from 100 to 300: +200%
* After estimated charges it ends at 280: +180%
* Charges: 20 points of a 100 start

## How to read it

* A strategy that trades more often usually shows a bigger gap.
* Compare net returns, not before charge returns.
* Where Cost per year shows a figure, tap it for the breakup by kind of charge. Your own charges per event are on the portfolio Ledger tab.

## Watch out

* The Charges card is always full history, even when the period chips change.
* The charge type labels differ across tips; slippage is not in the estimate.
* Taxes on your gains are not included.
