## Where it is

ScreenPortfolioBasic

Withdraw in the portfolio action bar. Basic and Advanced.

## What it means

Withdraw money asks for Part of it or Everything. Part of it sells every holding in proportion, so the mix stays the same, and says about what share of each it sells. An amount at or above the value is refused: choose Everything for that. Everything sells all holdings. The money lands in your own broker account, not with RupeeCase.

## The formula

A partial withdrawal sells about the same share of every holding: the amount over the current value. Invested falls by the amount taken out.

As computed in the RupeeCase app`Part of it: sells about amount / current value of every holding
An amount at or above the current value is refused (choose Everything)
Everything: sells all holdings
The money stays in your broker account`

## Worked example

Example only

* Portfolio value Rs 3,00,000; withdraw Rs 60,000
* 60,000 / 3,00,000 = 20%: about 20% of every holding is sold
* Invested falls by Rs 60,000, from Rs 2,85,000 to Rs 2,25,000

## How to read it

* The summary line says what will be sold before you confirm.
* Invested drops by what you take out, so Return is on the money still in.
* Cancel closes the sheet; nothing is sent.

## Watch out

* Confirm withdrawal on a Live portfolio places real sell orders.
* Selling can bring capital gains tax and charges.
* Moving money from your broker account to your bank is done at your broker.
