## How stocks are selected

    The RupeeCase Nifty model ranks all 50 Nifty constituents on a composite of 6-month and 12-month price momentum, earnings acceleration, and balance sheet quality. The top 10 are picked. Each position is sized inversely to 90-day volatility so the portfolio keeps an even risk footprint. At every fortnightly review the ranks are re-run and names that drop below the top 20 are sold.

    Because selection is a pure rule engine, there is nothing for emotion to override. When a stock is out of the model, it is out of the portfolio. When a rebalance says add ONGC, ONGC gets added. The [rebalance history](/rebalance/) shows every trade since inception.
