Like insurance on a house: you pay a premium, and a bad fall costs less.

Be first to know.
Hedging will arrive as a module beside your strategies, with its rules published before it runs. Create a free account and you will be told when it opens.
Not as trading. F&O will be used only for hedging: as insurance for a long portfolio, never for speculation or leverage. The module is in development and not available yet.
What is a protective put?
A protective put pairs a portfolio with a put option. If the market falls below the strike, the put gains and offsets part of the loss, setting an approximate floor. The cost is the premium, which lowers returns when markets rise. This is a general concept, not a recommendation.
Why only hedging?
SEBI's study found that 93% of individual F&O traders lost money between FY22 and FY24, with aggregate losses above ₹1.8 lakh crore. RupeeCase will use derivatives only to reduce risk on portfolios you already hold.
How will I know when hedging is available?
