Where it is

ScreenPortfolioBasic

The Ledger and Orders tabs of a portfolio page. Basic and Advanced; the model trade book on the Ledger is Advanced.

What it means

Money in and out charts every sum you added and took out; net money in is the Invested figure. Charges and turnover shows your own estimated charges for each event with its traded value. The Ledger table lists each event (money added, money taken out, invested, rebalanced, withdrawn) with its amount, status and notes. Orders shows the orders open at your broker while a top up, withdrawal or rebalance runs, with a count on the tab.

The formula

Net money in is money added minus money taken out, the same as Invested. Charges are estimated for each event from its trades.

As computed in the RupeeCase app
Net money in = money added - money taken out (= Invested)
Charges per event = estimated charges of that event's trades
Orders: open orders at your broker during an action

Worked example

Example only

  • 15 Jun: invested Rs 2,50,000; 7 Aug: top up Rs 50,000
  • 14 Sep: took out Rs 15,000
  • Net money in: 2,50,000 + 50,000 - 15,000 = Rs 2,85,000

How to read it

  • Every money action leaves a row with its status.
  • Charges are estimates per event; your broker's contract note is final.
  • A count on the Orders tab means orders are open at your broker.

Watch out

  • The model trade book (Advanced) is the strategy's trades, not yours.
  • Orders is empty between actions, as expected.
  • A row that needs attention means an action stopped before it finished.
