The Trading mode choice is on the invest sheet (Confirm investment). The Dashboard has All, Live and Practice tabs. Basic and Advanced.

What it means

Practice follows a strategy's trades with no real broker order: nothing is bought at your broker. Live places real orders in your own broker account, after you accept the consent text, during market hours. The invest sheet starts on Practice.

The formula

Practice is the default mode on the invest sheet. Live needs a broker with an active session and your consent tick; orders go only to the broker you choose.

How to read it

  • The Dashboard tab and the portfolio header say Live or Practice.
  • The Practice tab note reads: no real broker order.
  • Live portfolios show your broker and its cash.

Watch out

  • The sheet defaults to Practice: check the mode before pressing Invest now.
  • Practice ignores real fills, slippage and partial orders.
  • Invest now on Live places orders immediately during market hours.
