Where it is
ScreenDashboardAdvanced
Broker positions on the Dashboard's account row (in Advanced) and in a Live portfolio's More options. The sheet has four tabs: Positions, Holdings, Orders and Gaps.
The app lists every RupeeCase index; each has its own page. See all 18 in one table.
What it means
Positions, Holdings and Orders are read from your broker as the sheet opens. Gaps compares, stock by stock, what your broker holds (holdings plus today's trades) with the total your Live portfolios on that broker should hold. A row is GAP when the broker holds fewer shares than the portfolios; Diff is broker minus portfolios. "Extra at broker (not in any portfolio)" lists stocks in your demat that no portfolio holds, such as shares you bought yourself.
The formula
Diff = broker quantity minus the portfolios' quantity. Below zero is a gap; zero or above reads GOOD.
Portfolios Qty = sum over your Live portfolios on this broker
Broker Qty = holdings + today's net trades
Diff = Broker Qty - Portfolios Qty; GAP when below 0
Extra at broker = held at the broker, in no portfolioWorked example
Example only
- Portfolios hold 87 ADANIPOWER; the broker shows 84
- Diff -3: a GAP of 3 shares
- 25 ITC in the demat, in no portfolio: listed as extra
How to read it
- A gap often means shares were sold or moved outside RupeeCase.
- Today's trades count, so a sell that filled today is included.
- Extras are yours; the app leaves them alone.
Watch out
- There is no fix button in the sheet; check your broker's holdings and order book first.
- A gap can make the next sell fail: the broker cannot sell shares it does not hold.
- Reconcile with broker is for the RupeeCase team and rebuilds from RupeeCase's own records, not from the broker.
