Where it is
ScreenPortfolio, More optionsBasic
A Live portfolio: More options, Broker positions. In Advanced the Dashboard's broker row has Broker positions too. The Ledger lists Corporate action and Combined rows.
Index in this video: Large Cap Multi Asset (the sample portfolio).
What it means
RupeeCase sends orders to your own broker account; the cash and the shares stay with your broker and in your demat account. Broker positions reads that account live: Positions (today's intraday), Holdings (delivery holdings), Orders (today's order book) and Gaps. Gaps adds up what your Live portfolios on that broker should hold, stock by stock, beside what the broker holds: GOOD when they match, GAP when they differ, and any extra at the broker that no portfolio holds. A Corporate action row in the Ledger is a split or bonus the server booked, with no order. Combine portfolios merges your portfolios on one strategy and mode in the books, with no order.
The formula
Gaps: for each stock, your Live portfolios' total quantity on this broker beside the broker's quantity.
Gaps: portfolios quantity and broker quantity per stock; Diff; GOOD or GAP
Extra at broker: held at the broker, in no portfolio
Corporate action, Combined: ledger rows with no broker orderWorked example
Example only
- Two Live portfolios hold 10 and 5 shares of one stock: 15
- Your broker account holds 18 of it
- Gaps shows a difference of 3: GAP
How to read it
- All GOOD: the broker covers every stock your portfolios expect.
- A GAP can come from a trade made outside RupeeCase, or an order still open.
- Broker positions covers the whole broker account, not one portfolio.
Watch out
- The sheet reads your broker live; its figures keep Indian grouping.
- Combine portfolios lists only your portfolios on the same strategy and trading mode.
- Practice portfolios place no broker orders, so they are not in Gaps.
