Where it is
ScreenStrategyBasic
The top card of every strategy page: the large figure, the "Rs 10,00,000 became" line and the period chips under the chart. Basic and Advanced.
What it means
The large figure is the model's return over the chosen window, after estimated charges. The line under it turns that into rupees on a notional Rs 10,00,000. The period chips (1M to All, Custom) set the window for the hero, the chart, the key figures and the cards, and the app remembers your choice for every strategy page.
The formula
The model is rebased to 100 at the window start; the hero is its last value minus 100. The rupee line applies that return to Rs 10,00,000.
Hero % = model value at the window end, with the start set to 100, minus 100
Rs 10,00,000 became = 10,00,000 x (1 + hero %)
The period (5Y by default) is remembered for every strategy pageWorked example
Example only
- Window 3Y: the model goes from 100 to 160
- Hero: +60%; Rs 10,00,000 became Rs 16,00,000
- Pick 1Y and every figure on the page moves to 1 year
How to read it
- Check the period label ("last 5 years") before reading any figure.
- A window longer than the history is marked "History starts".
- Scrubbing the chart shows the figure for the hovered week.
Watch out
- The chosen period carries to every strategy page you open next.
- Rs 10,00,000 is notional; it is not a portfolio or a minimum.
- Marketplace cards ignore the period: they are full history.
