Where it is

ScreenStrategyBasic

The tab row below the key figures on every strategy page. Holdings opens first. Cards marked Advanced appear in Advanced only.

Index in this video: Allcap (strategy page).

What it means

Holdings opens on the holdings table of a Rs 10,00,000 model, then the composition by sector and market cap and the position sizes. Returns has return figures, year by year and the Charges card. Risk has drawdowns and risk figures. History has the rebalance history and the rotation history, and in Advanced the trade book and turnover per rebalance.

The formula

Each card computes over the chosen period except where it says full history. A rebalance group's return is its rupee P&L over the money it held.

As computed in the RupeeCase app
Tabs: Holdings, Returns, Risk, History
Rebalance group return = rupee P&L of the group / money the group held (weight x Rs 10,00,000)
No grand total across rebalances, by design

Worked example

Example only

  • One rebalance sells 3 positions of Rs 20,000 each
  • P&L: +Rs 4,000, -Rs 1,000, +Rs 3,000 = +Rs 6,000
  • Group return: 6,000 / 60,000 = +10%

How to read it

  • Returns: Year by year pills show the difference against the benchmark.
  • Risk: Risk figures lead with max drawdown and volatility.
  • History: each group is one rebalance, with what was sold.

Watch out

  • Rebalance history has no grand total: groups hold different money at different times.
  • The holdings benchmark band uses full history, while the hero uses the period.
  • Charges are always full history.
