How It Works

  1. Step 1 | Universe Start from Nifty 50.
  2. Step 2 | Rank Score every stock in the universe by a momentum composite (price trend over multiple lookbacks, risk-adjusted). The top names by score become the candidate list.
  3. Step 3 | Select Hold the top 50 names by score. Equal-weight across the book so no single name dominates.
  4. Step 4 | Rebalance Every 4 weeks the model re-runs end-to-end. Names that fall out of the top 50 are sold; new entrants are bought. You see the full holdings list at every rebalance.

Who This Is For

Suitable for
investors who want a balanced equity tilt with a built-in volatility cushion
Suggested allocation
core equity allocation, 30 to 60 percent of total equity bucket
Time horizon
5 years or longer. Drawdowns of 16% have happened in the backtest and can happen again. Capital you might need within 12 months should not be here.
Capital required
₹2,29,000 minimum. This buys roughly one share of every holding at current prices. Investing more buys fractions of additional units and tightens the model's expected behaviour.

Why This Strategy

The simplest card on the lineup. All 50 Nifty names, equal weight, rebalanced every 4 weeks. No momentum screen. No buffer sleeve. No selection at all. The only decision this card makes is to keep every position the same size.

That one decision matters more than it looks. The cap-weighted Nifty concentrates its fate in a handful of giants at the top. Equal weight spreads the same 50 names evenly, so the smaller half of the index actually moves the needle and no single conglomerate decides your month.

This is discipline over selection. Every 4 weeks the card trims what has run and tops up what has lagged, which quietly forces the sell-high, buy-low behaviour most investors never manage by hand. The live figures above show what that discipline is currently producing against the cap-weighted benchmark.

This is the right first card. It suits first-time systematic investors who want index breadth with equal-weight balance instead of cap-weight concentration, one rule they can explain at a dinner table, and a rhythm slow enough to watch and learn from. Graduate to the momentum cards once you have lived through a drawdown here and stayed invested.
